In January, Rebecca visited Jim's folks in New Mexico, hiked, danced, skied, and brought back to Maryland quite a lot of snow!
In March, Jim's folks visited to attend his award ceremony. We toured D.C. and were fortunate to see Ellicott City before it was destroyed by flooding.
Two purebred Wensleydale lambs joined our flock in the spring and soon will be contributing to Stephanie's Etsy shop!
In April we hung out with Colleen and Scott in Mount Airy and met Rebecca at the National Zoo.
Rebecca managed to survive her freshman spring semester while remaining active as President of the UMD Tango Club.
In May we visited Niagara and Toronto.
Rebecca made Father's Day memorable with a fun paddle down the scenic Monocacy River near Frederick. Later in the summer, she and Amanda went tubing on the Potomac.
Concerts, crabs and sunflowers rounded out the summer.
Rebecca wrapped up her 11 week internship with NCI Frederick with a presentation at NIH Bethesda just days before starting her sophomore year at UMD studying cellular biology and genetics.
Stephanie and Jim visited the fascinating Bethlehem Steel plant on the way up to Uncle John's in NY for the Rhinebeck Sheep & Wool Festival, Hyde Park, and the Culinary Institute.
Jim enjoyed several drives up to PA for hiking in the Michaux Forest, including a trip with Rebecca and another with Dan and Pete.
Stephanie and Jim had a fabulous time celebrating her milestone birthday in Hawaii.
We were happy to host a quick visit by Uncle John and Aunt Susan who were in town for Thanksgiving, and Stephanie trimmed our tree later that weekend!
This year, we are relaxing in the area with friends and family. It was great hosting Mike and Megan and joining Christine and Bob at Christmas gatherings.
We hope you are well and look forward to hearing from you soon!
