In mid January, Rebecca was on the team representing Windows Knolls Middle School at the Future Cities competition at the Baltimore Museum of Industry while Jim and Stephanie had time to stroll down to the Inner Harbor for lunch.

In late January, Rebecca played First Clarinet in the Frederick All County Concert Band.

10" of snow at the end of January was pretty but required digging out...

Stephanie visited Las Vegas in mid-February to attend a conference.

February ended with a final dusting of snow.

In March, it was time for shearing and lambing!

The black ewes had white lambs and the white ewes had black lambs.  Mendel FTW!

In April, ten goslings hatched on the island and swam around the pond.

Stephanie's folks were pleased to find that their hives survived the long, cold winter with honey to spare!

Rebecca excelled at field hockey with the local league through May.

In June, Rebecca attended the 8th Grade Dance and Uncle Mike visited from Iowa.

Rebecca helped keep up with the lawn in June.

In July, Jim spent a day with Theresa and Steve driving NASCAR race cars at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Jim's folks visited from New Mexico in late July / early August.  We toured Frederick...

...Annapolis, Washington and Baltimore plus Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

The Iowa natives also enjoyed helping out around the farmette.

We vacationed along the Outer Banks and Myrtle Beach after marching band camp in August.

Jim spent Labor Day weekend with Neil and Pete at the inaugural Baltimore Grand Prix.

For Homecoming, Rebecca marched at the game and attended the dance.

...while Rebecca hosted a visit from Aunt Christine and Bob and prepared for the Maryland All State Band audition.

A Blue Swede duck and two Nubian goats joined us in the autumn.

Meanwhile, the lambs were preparing for winter...

...just in time for a late October snow!
